The equity benchmark NIFTY rose for a fifth straight session to reclaim 11000-mark led by gains in index heavyweighs on BANK NIFTY expiry day. The start of corporate earnings season and positive global cues weighted on investors sentiment.

Among sector gauges compiled by NSE NIFTY PSU BANK, NIFTY FIN SERVICE and NIFTY BANK outperformed as top gaines while NIFTY REALTY, NIFTY MEDIA and NIFTY AUTO are top losers

From the NIFTY50 basket of shares RELIANCE, BPCL, BAJFINANCE, WIPRO and BAJAJFINSV ended as top gainers while UPL, VEDL, BAJAJ-AUTO, INFY and GRASIM are top losers.
