Why exchanges were thinking about extending trading hour to 5PM?
MSEI has announced extending of stock market timing up to 5 pm from July 7, 2017 to reintroduce itself among bigger stock exchanges NSE and BSE in India.
But it got postponed as per the circular dated 5th July 2017
Why extending trading hour?
MCX is the one of the leading exchange in Indian commodity market. MSEI is an extension of MCX Equity segment; it is one of the youngest and also comparatively smaller than well known exchanges NSE and BSE. Recently MSEI have made an announcement of extending market timing up to 5 pm from 7.7.2017 Friday for luring traders to its equity market. It was largely aims to get traders bases by offering more time for trading. During 2009, SEBI circular allowed the stock exchanges do decide the timing.
However today, July 5, 2017, MSEI has postponed the revised schedule of trading hours without intimating the dates. Find the MSEI official postponed circular here at MSE/TRD/5323/2017
