Closing Bell: The NSE NIFTY 50 Index rose 1.28 percent to settle at 11515.20 on Friday. Indian Equity benchmark NIFTY rose for a second consecutive day as investors sentiment turned positive after consumer inflation fell below 4 percent for the first time this year in August. On a weekly basis, NIFTY weakened 0.64 percent as fall in the rupee and other economic issues weighed on sentiment.

All sector gauges compile by NSE ended higher led by NIFTY REALTY, NIFTY PHARMA, NIFTY METAL, NIFTY FIN SERVICE and NIFTY PSU BANK indexes as top gainers.

From the NIFTY50 basket of shares IBULHSGFIN, BPCL, BAJAJFINSV, HINDPETRO and VEDL ended as top gainers while HCLTECH, COALINDIA, INFY and GAIL are only losers.
